Inducing Menstruation Naturally - Home Remedy

So this is a success story. Whenever someone says “natural” people either think “snake oil” or “holistic”. The truth is somewhere in between. For me, nature is already packed with stuff that our body needs to take of. I don’t think it is the replacement of the well researched medical field. In short, I think an apple a day may keep the doctor away, but if you are sick see the doctor anyway. I know it’s not eloquent but it is true.

As I have talked before that I had missed my period again for the second time now. The first time around I got my periods, more like they were induced by the pills given by my gynecologist.

When I didn’t get my periods again, skipping it for the entire month of January, after getting it in the third week of December. But this time around I didn’t want to take the pills, so I decided to try the natural methods before I went to the doctor.

Since I actually got my periods I will tell you what I did and I will also add a few other options I found on the internet. What I tried is fenugreek seeds in yogurt for last four days, I ate fennel and I drank papaya juice. Besides these I have heard that sesame seeds and ajwain (or carom seeds,) work too.

Reduces Menstrual Discomfort: Fenugreek is considered as a potent substance that eases the process of menstruation and relieves the associated symptoms. It is an emmenagogue, which means that it can open up obstructed menses to make the most feminine of processes work smoothly and comfortably.
Ginger Tea 2- 3 cups concentrated
Parsley Tea
Parsley has properties that contracts the uterus and relaxes the cervix simultaneously. This allows shedding of endometrial membrane from the uterus wall and expelling it out from the relaxed cervix. It proves beneficial when the cause of delayed period is due to mental stress, hormonal changes caused as a result of thyroid disturbance.
Pineapple, Papaya, and Mango
Drink a glass of pineapple juice in the morning, mango juice in the afternoon and papaya juice in the evening when you want to induce periods.
